Henry V (Laurence Olivier) King of England appeals to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of Ely to support him in his claim to the Crown of France whilst a host of lords and dignitaries lend their ears to the discussion. Henry wins the argument and siege is laid to Harfleur. But the victorious ending of this campaign finds Henry with an army sadly decimated by sickness. He decides to make his way back to Calais and return to his own country from there. But the French decide otherwise and to his dismay Henry finds himself blocked by a vastly superior army. The battle of Agincourt is at hand. The night before the battle Henry disguised as a common soldier goes from tent to tent giving courage to his men and his mission is not without avail. The following day the two armies meet in mortal combat the battle is opened by the thrilling surge of the French Cavalry charge and gradually the English win the day.
